Head south to Hawke’s Bay staying at the beautiful The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. The main lodge overlooks the bay and surrounding countryside and houses a guest lounge, library and wine cellar. There is also a superb championship golf course and swimming pool, with a shaded terrace ideal for reading a book during the afternoon.
To top off your luxury getaway, experience complete wonder at the incredible Matakauri Lodge, just outside famous Queenstown. A place of serene beauty, the indulgent restaurant features menus that change daily and dishes are paired with acclaimed New Zealand wines. Your journey starts at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, four hours drive north of Auckland. Air New Zealand, Jetstar and Qantas all operate daily flights into Auckland. Limited flights are currently available and schedules may vary. Air New Zealand fly into nearby KeriKeri Airport. From here the drive is just 30 minutes.
This 9-night itinerary visits some of New Zealand’s most iconic destinations. It is easily combinable with a number of other top sights across both the north and South Island for a more in-depth experience. A short stay in Auckland is highly recommended whilst a 3 or 4-night visit to the North Island town of Rotorua (North Island’s answer to Queenstown) is a popular choice.

Days 1-3
Bay of Islands
Beginning at the top of New Zealand’s North Island, just a 30-minute drive from nearby Keri Keri Airport (flight not included), explore the breathtaking countryside surrounding the Lodge at Kauri Cliffs. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the postcard perfect setting offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy. Spend your days on the beach enjoying a bbq, surfing, fishing or sea-kayaking. A 60-minute couples massage is included for you to enjoy on one of your days at this beautiful lodge. Take to the trails and discover over 6,000 acres by mountain bike or on foot. When not out exploring, enjoy fine food from the onsite restaurant that uses only the freshest produce. For golf enthusiasts, the Par 72 championship course is one of the finest in the country. Days 4-6
Cape Kidnappers
Today, transfer back to the airport for your flight south (not included) to Hawke’s Bay, one of the country’s finest wine regions. Transfer from Napier Airport to your lodgings at Cape Kidnappers, approximately 40 minutes away by car, to the beautiful Farm at Cape Kidnappers. Experiences here are many and varied. Try your hand at horse riding, shepherding or even orienteering. Join guides and venture into the surrounding pine forests to see the rare and endangered kiwi on a Kiwi Discover Tour or visit a Gannet Colony – Cape Kidnappers is home to the largest, most accessible mainland colony in the world. Mountain biking, picnic lunches and exploring the many hiking trails on foot are also popular. B L D
Days 7-9
Queenstown
Transfer this morning to Napier Airport for your flight (not included) to Queenstown on New Zealand’s South Island. On arrival in Queenstown you will be met and transferred to nearby Matakauri Lodge on the shores of Lake Wakapitu. A place of serene beauty, almost every window in the lodge boasts jaw-dropping views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables Mountains beyond. This gorgeous lakeside property has both a decadent day spa with inspiring treatments and an indulgent restaurant, specialising in clean, fresh flavours created from the finest seasonal produce. Facilities include an outdoor infinity pool, jacuzzi (perfect for the winter months) and fitness centre, complete with sauna. On one of your days, enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnshaw, an old steamship. Aside from the wealth of adventure-based activities offered in Queenstown, guests can also enjoy hiking and cycling around the lake or wine tours in the renowned Central Otago area. B L D
